‘Issue notification before Dec 12’

Members of the Goa Government Employees Association (GGEA) met with Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar at his residence in Althino thanking him for the Cabinet decision to implement the seventh pay commission.

They also however asked for a notification or order to be issued before December 12.   
Government employees throughout Goa heaved a sigh of relief after the State Cabinet in its meeting held on November 25 approved the proposal for implementation of the recommendations of seventh pay commission.   
In its letter to Parsekar, GGEA president John Nazareth requested, “to issue instructions to the department concerned to issue the order of implementation of seventh pay commission.”  
They have also asked for the notice to be issued not later than December 12 to withdraw the strike notice.
