“I will not support the BJP to form the government. However, I will try to get two MLAs supporting the BJP to support the new Congress government in the State,” Churchill said, while firmly ruling the possibility of supporting the BJP to form the government.
Addressing the media on Thursday, Churchill said that around two lakh people will be jobless if the Supreme Court order on liquor bars and shops is implemented in the State.
“The decision will adversely affect those in the liquor business,” he said, while expressing his full support to the beleaguered dealers and liquor retailers.
Replying to a question, Churchill said that the new government will take a decision that would solve the problems faced by the beleaguered liquor traders.
Saying that people of Goa have been put to hardships during the last five years, Churchill exuded confidence that Goans in general will benefit from the new government that comes to power after March 11.
