PANAJI
Stating that a fractured mandate non-BJP government would come to power in Goa, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Nawab Malik on Thursday said the NCP would have an important role in the formation of the next government.
"No party will get a clear mandate and the future government will be a non-BJP coalition government,” said Mallik, while addressing the media in Panaji.
Malik promised that after formation of the next government, a public-friendly tourism policy would be framed.
Malik sought to blame Congress leaders Digambar Kamat and Goa Forward leader Vijay Mallik for the failure of a pre-poll alliance between NCP and Congress.
Stating that there is no original BJP candidate except Chief Minister Sawant in the present list of candidates, Malik hit out at the BJP for its criticism of the Congress for promoting family raj, when it had also promoted family raj by giving party tickets to two couples.
Malik also claimed that the people had suffered due BJP government’s misrule during the Covid pandemic.
