State BJP President Sadanand Shet Tanawade on Thursday claimed that though one person gets the BJP ticket it did not not mean that other karyakartas are useless as the strength of BJP lies is its karyakartas and not leaders.
Addressing a news conference in Alto-Pilerne, Tanawade insisted that Bardez is the stronghold of BJP and expressed confidence that all candidates fielded by BJP would get elected.
“There are rumours that some BJP karyakartas are disappointed over the selection of candidates in Bardez taluka. This is not true. Loyal karyartas are with BJP. Only one person gets the BJP ticket but that does not mean other karyakartas are useless,” said Tanawade.
“The strength of BJP lies is its karyakartas and not leaders. Victory of the party in the election depends on the work of its karyakartas,” said Tanawade.
Former Saligao MLA and BJP candidate Jayesh Salgaonkar claimed he has fulfilled most promises to the electorate during the 2017 election and said residents of Saligao constituency have appreciated his work, which would enable him win the elections yet again.
