In an inspiring ceremony illuminating the lamp of skills, Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Canacona held its convocation ceremony in association with the Department of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship at Ravindra Bhavan Auditorium, recently.
Certificates were then awarded to 160 ITI trainees, as well as to the Bakery Production trainees who successfully completed their training under the Department of Skill Development.
Chief Minister’s Skill Path Scheme Project Manager, Rajesh Loliyekar stated the objective of this scheme is to empower youth, women, and girls from rural areas to become self-reliant and independent.
In the Canacona region, the initiative was launched through the Keshav Seva Sadhana, a well known social Welfare organization, at Sheller, Canacona. Under this project, about 68 women from four batches successfully completed Bakery Product Training and have now started their own small enterprises ” a remarkable step towards the vision of a Self-Reliant India (Atmanirbhar Bharat).
In the absence of chief guest/Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Ramesh Tawadkar, CMC Councillor Dheeraj Naik Gaonkar, Poinguinim VP Deputy Sarpanch Sunil Paingankar, Social Worker and Entrepreneur Somdatt Deshmukh, Principal of ITI Canacona Anish Gaude, Vice-Principal Dongrikar, Ramesh Velip, and Training Centre Coordinator and Secretary of the Management Committee of Shri Mataji Mandir Vidhyarthi Vyavasthapan Samiti under Keshav Seva Sadhana Damodar Vasant Chari were present.
In his welcome address, Principal Anish Gaude highlighted the achievements and progress of the training institute.
Delivering an inspiring address, Keshav Seva Sadhana Training Centre Coordinator Damodar Vasant Chari, stated, “Human life is not meant to cling to the broken pieces of shattered dreams. The human spirit cannot be chained forever to the failures of the past ” it is blessed with the wings of hope for the future. To dream, to nurture that dream, to strive for it, to enjoy the process, and even if that dream breaks ” to chase a new one ” this is the true essence of being human.”
