Mandrem Police later conducted a panchnama at the site. Reacting to the incident, local artist Sonu Shetgaonkar said that although roads have been widened, many motorists drive at high speeds. He stressed the need for speed breakers to improve safety.

Three persons, including a foreign national, were injured after a motorcycle and a scooter collided on the main road at Morjim on Wednesday night. The accident occurred at around 8 pm when a foreigner riding a Bullet motorcycle collided with an Activa scooter carrying two local workers. All three were taken to hospital for treatment.
