The Aam Aadmi Party Goa desk in-charge Atishi on Sunday filed a complaint with CEO Goa against the Congress's Sankalp Amonkar, Savio D'Silva, Avertano Furtado and TMC's Churchill Alemao for accepting money for post-poll defections and demands they be disqualified based on a sting video about switching parties after elections.
AAP has requested CEO Goa to take an immediate action against the Congress and TMC candidates by cancelling their candidature for this election and initiate prosecution by registering an FIR against them under the relevant provisions of the RP act.
In a letter, AAP said, "A shocking news clip of a sting operation conducted by Hindi Khabar is making the rounds on social media. This video shows Congress and TMC candidates in Goa assembly elections 2022 discussing how they will switch over to the BJP after the elections, if necessary".
AAP mentioned that the Congress leaders Savio D'Silva, Avertano Furtado, Sankalp Amonkar, and TMC's Churchill Alemao appeared in the video in which an open deal was made in which these MLA candidates would switch parties and join the BJP, if elected, in exchange for bribes in crores.
AAP further states that the right minded people and the parties cannot remain a mute spectator to these developments. The AAP shall be failing in its duty if it does not draw the attention of the ECI to this new low in the elections in Goa.
