Over 99% of forms distributed; draft rolls to be published on December 9

PANAJI

The ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Goa has seen good participation from voters, with 0.31 per cent of enumeration forms collected so far, according to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO).

As per official data, 3,686 enumeration forms have been collected as of 4 pm on Monday. This represents 0.31 per cent of the State’s 11,85,034 registered voters. The SIR exercise began on October 27, following the issue of official instructions.

The CEO’s office said the progress reflects the positive response from voters and the dedicated efforts of field officers carrying out verification and data collection.

It further stated that 99.59 per cent of the 11,85,034 printed forms have already been distributed across Goa as part of the ongoing process.

The SIR drive aims to ensure that electoral rolls are accurate and complete ahead of the next election cycle. Voters are encouraged to check their details and make any necessary corrections or additions.

A total of 1,725 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are conducting house-to-house visits to help voters fill out their enumeration forms. The draft electoral roll will be published on December 9 for corrections, if any.

As per the schedule, voters can file claims and objections between December 9 and January 8, 2026. The verification and hearing process will continue till January 31.
