The much-awaited meeting between Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the State BJP's core team did not take place on Sunday afternoon.
Party sources said the meeting was put off after Shah tweaked his schedule following the Uttarakhand disaster.
Shah was expected to guide the BJP core team comprising the Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Sadanand Tanavade among others on political strategy and the way ahead in the run up to the 2022 elections.
Also on the table were several contentious issues dogging the party including the crucial question of mining resumption, the Mhadei imbroglio, the ongoing agitations against coal and the three linear projects at Mollem.
Earlier, Shah arrived in Goa and was welcomed by Chief Minister, Panchayat Minister Mauvin Goidnho and others at Dabolim airport.
Shah landed at the Dabolim airport around 1 pm on a special flight along with former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
A strong police force was present around the airport and along the roads for the security of the VIPs.
