Anganwadi to be shifted to govt school in Dharbandora

PONDA
The education department has directed local authorities to shift the children from the anganwadi in Tamasado-Dharbandora to a room in a nearby government primary school, after the existing anwangwadi premises were found to be unfit for the children.

There are 25 children in the anganwadi and parents had stopped sending their children to the Anganwadi in Tamasado-Dharbandora earlier this month, after complaining that the floor has become damp and that, the children had to sit in a damp place during rains.

The parents held a meeting with officials and demanded that the Anganwadi be shifted elsewhere.

Deputy Collector Nilesh Dhaygodkar then convened a meeting with Sarpanch Balaji Gawas, local Panch Mahesh Naik, Anganwadi parents and Directorate of Women And Child Development Officer Deepti Parab and decided to shift the Anganwadi to a government primary school near the Anganwadi.

Accordingly, the Department of Women and Child Welfare had sent a letter to the education department requesting to shift the Anganwadi to the government primary school. The education department recently issued an order in this connection.
