Mardol police on Wednesday night registered a case against a car driver, Ramesh Suryakant Madkaikar (50) of Warkhande-Ponda, in connection with an accident between a car and a scooter at Mestwada-Bhoma, causing serious injuries to a pillion rider, Amita Kambli (58).
According to information, the accident had taken place on August 15, when a car and a scooter had collided with each other.
The scooter rider, Anil Kambli, had sustained minor injuries, while his wife, Amita, who was on the pillion was seriously injured.
She is being treated at the GMC hospital. Police registered a case against the car driver on Wednesday night. Further investigations are in progress.
Meanwhile, Punaji Datta Aglotkar (50) of Sancorda was injured in an accident between a scooter and a car on the road in front of Sanjeevani Sugar Factory this morning.
