Condemning the arrest of the seven youth belonging to Revolutionary Goans in Shiroda, GFP President, Vijai Sardesai said their arrest and subsequent seven days custody was nothing but murder of democracy.
“Traces of dictatorship are showing up in Goa. They (the arrested youth) may be from any party. But to arrest them was not appropriate. This is murder of democracy. And to do this before Chaturthi is not right at all,” Sardesai said.
He said when people question we need to give answers to them.
“But we find here that if uncomfortable questions are asked, people are thrown behind bars. I condemn what the Chief Minister has done in Shiroda,” he said.
