Bharat Jodo Yatra is not march-past of defection, but to unite nation: Panjikar

MAPUSA

Congress leader Amarnath Panjikar took to Twitter to slam Calangute MLA Michael Lobo stating that the ongoing ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was not a “march-past of defection” but to unite people of India and to save democracy.

Panjikar also said that Lobo’s recent indecent political march-past to BJP was to save himself and his business.

“Its not march past of defection @MichaelLobo76. Ongoing historic #BharatJodoYatra of @INCIndia under @RahulGandhi is to unite people of India & to save democracy. Your recent indecent political march past to @BJP4Goa was to save yourself & your business. TCP Min @visrane knows it,” said Panjikar in a tweet.

The Congress leader was reacting to Lobo’s statement ridiculing Rahul Gandhi’s ongoing ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ and comparing it to a march-past on road which would not translate into votes for the party.

Lobo also said that nobody should misuse (Mahatma) Gandhi’s name and Congress should work for the people like PM Narendra Modi does.
