BJP an inspiration for crores as it enters 47th year: BJP State Prez

PANAJI: Marking the BJP Sthapana Diwas, BJP State President Damodar Naik said the Bharatiya Janata Party has grown into “an inspiration for crores of people” as it completed 46 years and entered its 47th year.

Speaking after hoisting the party flag at its headquarters in Panaji today, Naik addressed party workers and traced the party’s journey from the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, founded in 1951, to the formation of the BJP on April 6, 1980.

“Today, the BJP is no longer limited to just one or two MPs; it has become an inspiration for crores of people,” he said.

Naik said the party paid tributes to its ideological leaders, including Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Deendayal Upadhyaya, while honouring the sacrifices of grassroots workers.

“From the days of Atal Bihari Vajpayee to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this journey has been shaped by the dedication and sacrifices of karyakartas,” he said, drawing focus to the party’s ideology and commitment to the principle of Antyodaya.

Naik noted that the party today has over 15 crore digital members and more than 2 crore active members nationwide. He urged people to join and strengthen the organisation, calling it a party rooted in patriotism, nationalism, and integral humanism.

Referring to the vision of a developed India by 2047, he said the push for an Atmanirbhar Bharat under Prime Minister Modi aligns with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s vision of a Swayampurna Goa.

“I urge all countrymen to join hands and work tirelessly to fulfil our national resolve,” he said.
