State BJP Chief Damu Naik on Tuesday said that he is totally focussed and busy planning how to achieve the magic figure of 27 seats for the party in the 2027 Assembly election.
He further said the party leadership including the Core committee will take a call on shortlisting and selection of candidates for the upcoming Zilla Panchayat and Municipal elections and the 2027 Assembly election.
When the media asked whether he would contest the 2027 Assembly election, Damu shot back “Right now, I am busy planning to achieve the magic figure of 27 seats in the 2027 election.”
He said the party is geared up for the Zilla Panchayat polls scheduled in December this year, followed by the civic polls in March 2026 and the 2027 Assembly election, adding that the BJP Core committee will take a call on the candidates after the notification on the upcoming polls.
