Sangeeta Naik Pednekar was elected unopposed as Deputy Sarpanch of Camurlim Panchayat.
The post fell vacant following a no-confidence motion against then deputy sarpanch Sanjana Mashelkar.
At a special meeting in the panchayat office, Pednekar was the only candidate for the post and was elected unopposed as deputy sarpanch.
Sarpanch Laxman Naik, Panch members Dharmendra Parab, Sangeeta Naik Pednekar and Pandurang Khorjuvekar were present on this occasion, while Sanjana Mashelkar, Chhaya Gad and Ranjana Naik were absent.
