A casino player has allegedly been cheated by another player to the tune of several lakhs, prompting a police complaint.
The Crime Branch has registered a case of theft and cheating against a Madhya Pradesh native Brijesh Raikwar for cheating Brijesh Jain from Delhi at a casino in a Candolim hotel on Monday.
The complainant alleged he was cheated of Rs 13.10 lakh besides which the accused also committed theft of cash Rs 5 lakh and 10 casino chips worth Rs 10 lakh from his hotel room. While a search is launched for the accused, no arrest has yet been made.
