Chennai native held for driving car on beach

A person from Chennai was arrested by Pernem police on charges of driving a rented car on Morjim beach, thereby endangering life of other tourists.

According to Pernem PI Jivba Dalvi, the incident is reported to have taken place on Thursday when a video of the car being driven on the beach had gone viral.

Accordingly, an FIR under Sections 279, 336 IPC was registered and the accused person was placed under arrest on Friday. The Car has been seized by Pernem Police and further investigation is in progress.
