Cleeven Fernandes chosen King Momo for Carnaval 2025

Cleeven Mathew Fernandes from Benaulim has been selected as the King Momo for Goa Carnaval 2025, slated from February 28 to March 4.

The Tourism department announced Fernandes as this year’s King Momo, as he was selected among four applicants.

“The grand festivities will feature vibrant float parades, lively music, captivating performances and a celebration of Goa’s unique cultural heritage, drawing thousands of tourists and participants. We are committed to promoting this iconic festival as a showcase of Goa’s diverse cultural traditions,” reads a statement issued by the department.

As per information shared recently, the grand opening parade will be held at Porvorim on February 28, followed by float parades, street performances and music in Panaji on March 1, Margao on March 2, Vasco on March 3 and Mapusa and Morjim on March 4.
