Close contests in Tiswadi

There were close contests at 11 wards across different panchayats in Tiswadi.

The closest fight was a tie at one ward of Curca-Bambolim, with each candidate getting 277 votes. Maria da Cunha went on to defeat Anand Verlekar in a draw of lots.

In Azossim-Mandur, Prashant Naik won by 2 votes, while Esperanca Fernandes won by 9 votes in Batim.

In Corlim, Chandrashekhar Kanconkar won by 10 votes and Supriya Kerkar won by just 2 votes, while in Curca-Bambolim, Maya Shirgave also won by a single vote and Leena Naik won by 10 votes.

In Merces, Sandhya Hoble won by 7 votes, while Saira Narvekar won by 3 votes in St Estevan. In St Lawrence (Agassaim) Regina Mascarenhas won by 10 votes, while Lakshadeep Gawas won by 5 votes in the same village.
