The chief minister has decided against tweaking the composition of his cabinet or reshuffling portfolios among the ministers, Ports Minister Michael Lobo said on Saturday.
Lobo said, no changes in the government will happen after the chief minister has ruled it out.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had on Friday categorically ruled out effecting any change in his government when his attention was drawn by journalists to speculations of a possible cabinet reshuffle.
"I have never said that there will be a cabinet reshuffle”, Sawant had said on Friday.
Earlier this month in the run-up to the recent Zilla Panchayat elections which the ruling BJP won handsomely, Lobo had hinted that Sawant may reward efficient ministers with a portfolio redistribution.
Meanwhile, Lobo on Saturday said urgent measures were needed to stop the friction between Goa Miles and private taxi operators in Goa.
He suggested a mechanism to buffer the loss of business to taxi operators on account of Goa Miles operating in the State and also recommended digital meters for taxis.
