Curchorem Police on Friday arrested Rahim Sayyed (19) of Bethmoddi-Curchorem on charges of possessing ganja weighing 228 grams valued at around Rs 38,000.
The arrest was made after getting reliable information that the youth was allegedly in possession of the narcotic substance.
Following the raid by Curchorem Police, residents from Sanguem and Curchorem have appealed to the police to keep strict vigil in the open areas which are frequented by the youth to prevent the spread of drugs supply among the youth.
