The special gram sabha of the Curtorim panchayat held on the occasion of National Panchayat Day on Sunday has decided to introduce vibrant gram sabha dashboard programme.
Chaired by Sarpanch Milagres Rodrigues, the gram sabha also deliberated on a host of issues based on the nine themes shortlisted by the government.
The sarpanch later told the media that the members have decided to give their approval to the nine themes shortlisted by the government.
Gram sabha member J Santan Rodrigues felt that the panchayat should have carried out an awareness programme in the village on the themes selected for the gram sabha on National Panchayat Day.
Meanwhile, Sarpanch Milagres later told the media that reports that the Ralloi-Tollem lake in Curtorim is polluted is false and misleading.
He said an unnecessary scare has been created in the village over reports that the lake is polluted. Giving a clean chit to the lake, the sarpanch demanded that the authorities should come and inspect the lake once again.
