DHS schedules mega round of Covid vaccination today

HCWs registered on Co-Win portal can avail opportunity

PANAJI
The Directorate of Health Services has scheduled a massive round of Covid vaccination for Health Care Workers (HCWs) registered on the Co-Win portal on Saturday, February 20.

HCWs employed in public as well as private sectors, who are registered on the Co-Win portal but have not received the first dose of the vaccine yet, can avail this opportunity at the nearest peripheral health units such as the district hospitals, sub-district hospitals, Community Health Centers, Primary Health Centers and Urban Health Centers from 9 am to 5 pm.

These HCWs have been asked to verify the information regarding the status of their registration on the portal and also about the vaccination sessions sites closest to them from the toll-free number of the control room 104.

The move is in continuation with the extension of the last date of Phase I of the ongoing Covid vaccination drive covering HCWs. The DHS had announced a week ago that HCWs whose details have been registered on the Co-WIN portal but who did not come forward to receive the vaccine earlier will be allowed to accept the first dose till February 20.

Close to 11,000 HCWs from among the 19,000-odd identified for vaccination have received the first dose of the vaccine to date. Around 4,500 Front Line Workers have also received the first dose of the vaccine by Friday.
