Drishti lifesavers nab thief at Ashvem

Drishti lifesavers have not only saved lives but have also tackled other situations along the State’s coast.

In one such incident, two Drishti lifesavers nabbed a thief who was trying to flee after stealing cash from a family at Ashvem beach on Wednesday.

According to reports, a family entered into the sea at Ashwem beach and had left their belongings on the beach.

Suddenly, they spotted a person rummaging through their bags and runing away with some things.

The family members raised an alarm and shouted for help.

Drishti lifesaver Tushar Kharade and Drishti’s Beach Safety Patrol (BSP) Officer Vijay Parab chased the thief and brought him back to the tower. The police was notified and the thief was handed over to the police. On conducting a search, the police found the missing cash with the person. 

Meanwhile, a 25-year-old man from Delhi was rescued from drowning at the Khola beach. The victim was found to be in distress in the sea and he was brought ashore by lifesaver Dipesh Velip with a rescue board.
