EcoEx, IIT Goa ink pact to pursue sustainable development goals

EcoEx signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Goa to establish a collaboration among industry and academia focused on the advancement of research, training, consulting, and innovation centered on circular economies, environmental compliances, and sustainability focused technologies. 

The partnership seeks to combine EcoEx’s experience in environmental services and digital compliance solutions with IIT Goa’s academic and research capabilities to support development of scalable and implementation-oriented sustainability solutions aligned with India’s evolving environmental and regulatory landscape.

The MoU strengthens industry“academia collaboration for key objectives: Pursuing Mission LiFE Goals; advancing research and development in circular economy models and waste-to-value systems; developing technology-enabled solutions for environmental traceability and regulatory compliance; facilitating academic“industry knowledge exchange through internships, joint projects, and applied research initiatives; delivering professional training, consultancy and certification programs and supporting the development of ESG frameworks aligned with national and global sustainability standards.

“The partnership with IIT Goa reflects EcoEx’s strong commitment to advancing the circular economy and contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat. Through this collaboration, we aim to drive meaningful knowledge exchange and strengthen capacity building across the ecosystem,” said Akshaya Rath, Co-Founder & CEO, EcoEx.

Dr Thaseem Thajudeen, Dean of R&D at IIT Goa, stated, "IIT Goa is a pioneer in pursuing mission LiFE goals, and this MoU represents a concrete step towards India's net zero goals."
