30 MLD water project   to resolve shortage   in Mandrem: MLA Mandrem MLA Jit Arolkar while inspecting the Tuem Water Treatment Project along with officials.

Mandrem MLA Jit Arolkar has stated that the 30 MLD water treatment project at Tuem, which is expected to be inaugurated on April 30, will solve the water problem in Mandrem constituency.

Arolkar was speaking after inspecting the water treatment project in the presence of water department officials.

In a bid to permanently solve the water problems faced in Mandrem constituency, a 30 MLD water treatment project was set up in the Tuye ITI area.

“The project has the capacity to provide water to entire Mandrem constituency 24 hours a day. With the Electronic City, Tuye hospital, industrial estate and a large settlement of the central security force coming up in Tuye, water requirements while rise sharply and water from the water treatment project is being planned for these growing demands,” said Arolkar.

“At present, Mandre constituency need about 14.5 MLD of water and the 30 MLD water treatment project will be more than sufficient to provide water to other villages from this project.”

“The project is planned to be inaugurated on April 30 and instructions have been given to the officials to complete the remaining work before this deadline. When this project is launched, water problems in Mandrem constituency will be solved,” the MLA added.
