Edu department announces 142 vacancies for primary teachers

PANAJI
The Directorate of Education has notified 142 vacancies of primary teachers which it intends to fill on a ‘temporary basis and has called for online applications to fill these posts.

Two vacancies are reserved for ex-Servicemen, 24 for Persons with Disabilities, including backlog vacancies, and seven for meritorious sportspersons.

Also, 40 vacancies are reserved for candidates from the Scheduled Tribes category, 29 from the OBC category and two for scheduled castes.

Eligible candidates have been advised to submit their application via the online mode only through the web portal www.education.goa.gov.in up to December 17.

To be eligible, candidates must have passed the new Goa Teacher Eligibility Test (GTET) conducted recently by State Council for Education Research and Training (SCERT).
