A 71-year-old woman, Sangeeta Naik, succumbed to injuries following a road accident involving two two-wheelers near the Indian Oil petrol pump at Goa Velha.
The incident occurred on November 3 when a motorcycle ridden by 21-year-old Shaikh Mohammad Zaid collided with a scooter carrying Sangeeta and her 78-year-old husband Saju.
Both, Saju who was riding the scooter, and pillion rider Sangeeta were both seriously injured and admitted to GMC Bambolim, where Sangeeta later died during treatment.
In another incident, a 38-year-old man, Leo Fernandes of Pedda-Benaulim, died while undergoing treatment at Margao Hospital, following a self-accident that occurred at Seraulim in the early hours of November 3.
