The Goa Tourism Department has issued a series of public notices inviting fresh applications and renewals across multiple tourism-related activities for the 2025-26 season -- preparations for the ongoing tourist year and efforts to regulate on-ground operations more closely.
In the first notice, the department has called for registrations for the conduct of aero sports activities with applications invited under three categories -- Aero sports operators authorised to conduct, offer or facilitate commercial aero sports activities; Tandem pilots operating under certified and registered operators; and Solo pilots flying independently, with their own or hired equipment, under valid certification.
The Tourism Department has also issued a separate notice to registered beach photographers, asking them to report for document verification in order to continue work under the revised Goa Beach Photographers Scheme, 2025.
The verification will require a residence certificate establishing at least 15 years of continuous residence in Goa, a school leaving certificate, the existing photography ID issued by the department, and any additional documents required under the Ease of Doing Business framework.
In another public announcement, the department invited applications for the registration of tourist guides, which comes amid a recent crackdown by police and tourism enforcement squads on unregistered guides and hawkers, particularly in coastal belts and heritage precincts.
A fourth notice pertains to beach deck and leisure infrastructure, wherein the department has opened applications from private shack operators, registered restaurants and hotels for permission to place deck beds, umbrellas, tables and chairs along designated beach stretches for the forthcoming tourist season.
