Reacting to Valpoi waterlogging due to heavy rains, Urban Development Minister Vishwajit Rane commented on Facebook saying, "With regards to the water logging that took place in Valpoi due to heavy rains, I have instructed the officials of Urban Development to rectify the same. It is important to note that no damage was caused due to the waterlogging. However, we need to ensure such circumstances don’t not occur in the future."
He also added, "We will be assigning engineers and consultants to submit a report to the government in this regard as to why did the waterlogging happen at that particular stretch near the Community Health Centre Valpoi, so that preventive measures can be taken in the future."
