The State government constituted High Level Enquiry Committee has sought authentic information and documents related to the alleged matter of paper leakage by a faculty member at the Goa University.
The four-member High Level Enquiry Committee headed by retired justice RMS Khandeparkar has to also look into the other serious allegations as appeared in media reports.
“The Committee seeks any authentic information and documents pertaining to the paper leakage at the school of Physics and Applied Sciences, Goa University,” the press note stated.
The information has to be submitted by an affidavit in a sealed cover to the office of Directorate of Higher Education either personally or by speed post on or before April 1.
The other members of the committee are former DIG (retired) Bosco George, Former GU registrar Radhika Nayak and Professor of VM Salgaonkar Law College MRK Prasad.
Based on the report of the fact-finding committee and official complaint from Goa University, the Agassaim police have registered FIR against the suspended assistant professor Dr Pranav Naik, from the School of Physical and Applied Sciences, on allegations of leaking an examination paper to a female student.
The Varsity has also decided to place the fact-finding committee report before the Disciplinary Authority that is the Executive Council for an appropriate action against the alleged accused. The Executive Council is slated to meet this week.
