Gaude did not personally target CM: UTAA chief

MARGAO

United Tribal Association’s Alliance (UTAA) Chief Prakash Velip has asserted that Minister and tribal leader Govind Gaude did not personally target Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, but was trying to convey a message that instructions issued by  the Chief Minister were not taken to the logical conclusion by the Tribal department officials.

Sports Minister Govind Gaude’s statement made from the platform of UTAA on the occasion of Prerna Dis on Sundayon Tribal Welfare department has kicked up a storm within the BJP where the party leadership has admonished the Minister for going public with the functioning of the department of Tribal welfare headed by the Chief Minister.

UTAA Chief Prakash Velip, however, made it clear that Minister Gaude, who has the tribal people dear to his heart, did not personally direct his remarks against the Chief Minister as has been made out to be in the media. “What Gawde meant to say was that instructions issued by the Chief Minister on matters such as Tribal Bhavan have not been taken to the logical conclusion by the officials. Gaude spoke  his heart out at the programme, but his statement was not directed at the Chief Minister. He only was trying to convey his sentiments that instructions issued by the Chief Minister were not taken to the logical conclusion”, Prakash added.
