The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has excluded chapter ‘Genetics of Evolution’ from the Class XII biology subject from the upcoming academic year 2025-26 onwards.
The decision has been taken following Madras High Court order pertaining to the ‘Origin of Life’ teaching content. In a circular issued to all the Heads of the High Secondary schools, the Board has informed about exclusion of ‘Evolution’ Chapter from the Biology text book.
“Also, the practical related to this chapter stands excluded,” the Board said.
