GFG opposes proposal for N-plant, says garbage recycling plants needed

MARGAO: Goans for Goa ( GFG) has strongly condemned the statement made by Union Minister ML Khattar  that the Centre intends to put up a nuclear power plant in the state of Goa.

In a statement made by president Kennedy Afonso, GFG would like to tell the Minister to kindly stop these kind of foolish proposals as the peaceful state of Goa does not need such a nuclear  plant, while suggesting that the Minister is welcome to put it up in his own state if required.

“The BJP government has already destroyed Goa’s sensitive eco system, and has  turned Goa into a garbage dump, and due to this  tourists have stopped coming to Goa”, he said, while saying that GFG would highly appreciate if the Union Minister proposes to set up a few garbage recycling plants, to resolve this problem.

GFG warns the BJP Goa government that Goans will fight any such move  tooth and nail and put up strong opposition to a nuclear plant planned to be set up in Goa .
