The state government on Wednesday issued the notification announcing the reconstitution of the Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) for a period of three years.Mahesh K Patil has been appointed as the new chairman of GSPCB and Dr Shamila Monteiro as the member secretary.
The director of Industries, Trade and Commerce, Chief Engineer of Water Resource Department, Director of Food and Drugs Administration, Chief Inspector of Factories and Boilers, Director of Health are ex-officio members.
The Board also includes Panch member of Calangute panchayat Shawn Brian Martins, Panaji Corporator Shubham Chodankar, Panch member of Velguem panchayat Unnati Saahastrabhudhe, Mapusa Councillor Pradip Naik, President of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), President of Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industries (GCCI), President of Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG), Managing Director of Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC)and the Managing Director of Goa State Waste Management Corporation (GSWMC).
