Govt awaiting High Court verdict on ward reservation: CM

MARGAO
Saying that he does not want to offer any comment on the ward reservation matter pending in the court, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Wednesday said the government is awaiting the verdict of the High Court on the matter.

When the media drew his attention to the controversy surrounding the municipal ward reservations and his reaction to the issue, the Chief Minister steered clear of the controversy by pointing out that the matter is pending before the High Court.

“I do not want to comment anything on the ward reservation row. The High Court is seized of the matter and the government will wait for the High Court to give its verdict”, he said.
