Govt extends mega job fair by a day

PANAJI

The State government has decided to extend by a day the mega job fair it has planned to hold on Tuesday (November 8) at the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee stadium at Taleigao.

Organised by the employment exchange, it will now be a two-day affair on November 8 and 9 from 9 am to 5 pm.

Labour Minister Atanasio (Babush) Monserrate said, the job fair is extended by a day on account of the overwhelming response received from the youth for the online pre-registration process.

The initiative will help bridge the gap between job seekers and providers, he said, adding that jobs across the country and also abroad will be available.

Companies from multiple sectors are participating in the job fair including IT, pharma, tourism and hospitality, automobile, healthcare, logistics, manufacturing among others, he said.

Interested job-seekers need to register on www.goajobfair.in and generate a QR code. which they will have to mandatorily carry to the venue along with copies of their CVs, according to an official of the Regional Employment Exchange, which is coordinating the conduct of the job fair.
