Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has said additional nurses and a technician are some of the areas which need urgent attention and would be addressed at the earliest at the Chicalim Primary Health Centre (PHC).
Rane was speaking after visiting the PHC to interact with doctors and staff, assess the facilities and ensure the availability of essential medicines. He also listened to their concerns and understood the challenges they face.
Deputy Director of Directorate of Health Services Dr Rupa Naik, and Health Officer, Dr Sujata were also present during the minister’s visit.
Rane said he had conducted an inspection at Chicalim PHC after a discussion with Transport Minister and Dabolim MLA Mauvin Godinho to review its facilities and ensure the delivery of quality healthcare services to the people.
“There were a few areas that need urgent attention which we will address at the earliest like additional nurses, technician etc.,” said Rane.
“Emphasising the need for excellence in public health infrastructure, I reaffirm the government’s commitment to providing the best medical care for all, with a strong focus on accessibility, efficiency and patient well-being,” the minister said.
