BICHOLIM
Gold and other items valued at about Rs 1 lakh are believed to have been burgled from a house in Sharda Nagar at Bicholim on Tuesday.
The burglary is reported to have taken place when family members were out of the house and burglars ransacked the cupboards and other rooms in the house.
Bicholim police conducted investigations at the site and CCTV footage revealed that two persons were involved in the burglary.
Neelkanth Marathe has lodged a complaint in this regard and a police investigation is underway.
Locals have voiced concern over burglaries in Bicholim and Sankhali and have sought to increase night patrolling in both places.
