OLD GOA
Continuing with its legal action against the controversial structure, the Se Old Goa panchayat has issued a show-cause notice stating why construction and renewal licences should not be revoked.
The show-cause notice was issued by the panchayat on Thursday to Jose Maria de Gouveia de Pinto and others.
In the notice, the panchayat has cited a violation of permission granted by CRZ on December 28, 2015, and also a violation of permission granted by ASI on February 3, 2020.
It has further pointed to the revocation order of the Town and Country Planning Department on November 30.
The panchayat has given a period of 7 days to the recipients to reply to the show-cause notice, failing which it will proceed to revoke the construction and renewal licences.
It may be recalled that the panchayat had earlier, on November 30, issued a stop-work order to the owners of the structure.
