The Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) has granted its consent for setting up helipad and jetty pontoon at Quitol in Quepem taluka for the upcoming India Energy Week (IEW), scheduled to be held from February 6 to 9, that is expected to draw over 35,000 participants.
The ONGC’s Institute of Petroleum Safety, Health, and Environment Management (IPSHEM), the four-day event host in Goa, had moved a proposal to GCZMA seeking CRZ clearance for various temporary infrastructures including a helipad and jetty pontoon in the village.
After conducting site inspection, the Authority has approved the proposals while directing the project proponent to obtain all other necessary statutory permissions from the appropriate and relevant authorities of Central and State government.
The four-day event, organized by the Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI), under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, will take place on the grounds of ONGC’s Institute of Petroleum Safety, Health, and Environment Management (IPSHEM) campus in Betul.
The forthcoming IEW 2024 is projected to draw over 35,000 attendees, 350 exhibitors, 400 speakers, and 4,000 plus delegates from over 100 countries.
The event will facilitate dialogue among policymakers, business leaders, and energy pioneers, offering opportunities for collaboration, discovery, and partnership strengthening.
