The Judicial Magistrate First Class, Quepem has released on bail Shreya Dhargalkar and Namita Fatarpekar, with a condition that they will not visit Fatorpa village.
After her release on bail, the Bicholim police took Shreya into custody in connection with the FIR registered against her for allegedly insulting the sentiments of the devotees of Lairai deity.
Cuncolim police station in-charge, PI Diego Gracias informed that the Court has granted bail to Shreya and Namita on bail of Rs 25,000 with two sureties.
He said the Court has directed the duo to report to the police for a period of 15 days and not to visit Fatorpa village.
The duo were arrested by the Cuncolim police for allegedly hurting the sentiments of the Mahajans of Shree Shantadurga Kunkalikarin in connection with a property dispute.
