Stating that law and order system in Goa is under control with the police are working 24x7, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday said the State machinery has been geared up in anticipation of the huge influx of tourists in the State for Christmas and New Year.

Speaking at a function in Porvorim, Sawant said the law and order situation in the State should be good for tourism to flourish.

“People should not fight with or harass the tourists. Police are endeavouring to maintain law and order situation,” said Sawant.

PORVORIMChief Minister Pramod Sawant on Tuesday stated that traffic problems in Porvorim would be reduced substantially once the proposed flyover is constructed.“Work to widen roads will be taken up prior to construction of the flyover.
