Loans for tourism-related activities, tourist guides

PANAJI

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the Centre intends to promote tourism in Goa in big way.

He said Rs 10 lakh loan will be provided to people connected with tourism-related activities while Rs 1 lakh will also be made available to tourist guides to boost tourism.

PM Narendra Modi has decided to allow charters in Goa from October 15, he said adding five lakh tourists will be provided free visas. 

Shah also remembered former Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar for the first surgical strike.

“Parrikar ji will always be remembered for the first surgical strike after the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch".

So also, the former Defence Minister will also be remembered for providing One Rank One Pension (OROP) to all three armies irrespective of all odds, he said.
