Man found unconscious off Palolem beach, declared dead at CHC

Drishti Lifesavers fished out an unconscious man in critical condition from the Palolem beach sea waters late Wednesday evening. According to sources, a team of lifesavers on Palolem beach were seen rushing with jet ski and life-boards towards the southern-side of Palolem beach, responding to an alert that a person was struggling in the sea.

The lifesavers retrieving the unconscious man in critical condition and rushed him to the CHC Canacona in a Drishti rescue vehicle. The doctor on duty at CHC declared the man dead and accordingly informed Canacona police later at night. 

According to Canacona police, the body of the unidentified male  aged between 25-30 years is preserved at the South Goa District Hospital, Margao to conduct further medico-legal formalities. 

Canacona police registered the unnatural death under Section 194 of BNSS 2023 and further enquiry is conducted by PSI Vishal Velip of Canacona Police Station.

More than 11.75 L enumeration forms digitised: CEO
