More than 11.75 L enumeration forms digitised: CEO

PANAJI

The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Goa on Thursday said that over 11.75 lakh enumeration forms, amounting to 99.21 per cent of the total, have been collected and digitised during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in the state as on date.

Out of a total of 11,85, 034 existing electors, enumeration forms of 11,75,631 voters have been collected, with the last date for submission of the same being extended to December 11.

CEO has said that the elector can submit the forms online through the voter’s portal- voters.eci.gov.in

The CEO has said so far, around 90,000 have been identified as “absent, shifted, dead or duplicate voters and their names would be deleted from the draft electoral roll which will be published on December 14.

Also, approximately 2.20 lakh voters could not be mapped-- means that their name is in the 2025 electoral roll, but in 2002, when the last SIR took place in Goa, their names or their parents names could not be mapped. Though their names would figure in the draft roll, they would be issued notices to prove their citizenship.

The period for filing claims and objections will now remain till January 15, 2026. The final voters’ list will now be published on February 14, instead of February 7.
