Melauli incident: AAP women’s wing demands suspension of PI Ekoskar

PANAJI
Aam Aadmi Party women’s wing on Friday complained to the State Women’s Commission against Police Inspector Sagar Ekoskar and demanded his immediate suspension.

Cecille Rodrigues of AAP Women’s Wing pointed out that Ekoskar’s behaviour was in gross violation of expected behaviour from a public servant. “Ekoskar’s behaviour with elderly women makes one wonder whether he was nurtured by a beast instead of a mother,” she alleged.

Cecille said the world over female personnel are supposed to deal with ladies during any law and order problem.

“However instead of using them, Ekoskar very cruelly and arrogantly walked on elderly women stamping them on their stomach and chest,” she said.

Cecille while pointing out that this amounted to cruelty to women, demanded stringent action against him.

“In fact we demand his immediate suspension so that in future other police officials do not repeat such behaviour,” she said.
