Colva police nabbed a 25-year old native of Madhya Pradesh when he was found in possession of ganja weighing 1,226 grams valued at around Rs 80,000.
The incident occurred near the Cavelossim bridge on Thursday evening when the accused Mahesh Dudve was caught red-handed for being in possession of greenish colour grass-like substance suspected to be ganja.
Colva police station in-charge, PI Tukaram Chawan said the accused had no valid documents to prove that he was in legal possession of the drug.
This is the second seizure of ganja by the Colva police within this week.
The police is investigating.
