The State government will set up a National Heritage Museum and Indian Cinema Heritage Museum at the Entertainment Society of Goa Complex in the Old GMC building.The government has floated a tender inviting parties to set up such museums.
The ESG tender document states that the aim is to provide world-class experience to people, national and international tourists on national heritage.
The museums will be set up on the first floor of the heritage Old GMC building in about 900 sq. mtrs of area.
It is proposed to establish 2 museums along with literary, cultural and other events connected to the objectives of Entertainment Society of Goa and to provide a common platform for the cinematography of the world for a world class experience during the International Film Festival of India.
